Last weekend, Robbie and I got to go on a rare date without our little one, and we found a major hidden gem in the Winchester area.  To be honest, we had never heard of Food Bash until we found it online.  The reviews were sterling, so we decided to go here for a nice breakfast.  We were not the least bit disappointed, as this little hole in the wall provided one of the best breakfasts in town!

Price 💲out of 5

The price was more than reasonable.  Our bill ended up only being about $25 dollars for two full meals.  Nothing broke the bank.  The most expensive meal on the breakfast menu was under $15, making Food Bash a fantastic economical breakfast spot.

Ambience 🧑‍🍳 🧑‍🍳 out of 5

This spot wasn’t overwhelming when it came to ambience.  There were only about eight or nine tables inside.  While there was some outdoor seating, it was too cold for that.  Unfortunately, the building isn’t in pristine shape.  It isn’t dirty or off-putting, but it is a very small and plain restaurant.  I do believe that if Food Bash wants to take their business to the next level, they will need to find a new location quickly.  There just isn’t enough room to satisfy the weekend breakfast club, especially during the colder months.

Hands down, this is the best breakfast spot that I have been to in Winchester.  I will preface this by saying that I haven’t tried every spot in Winchester, but this was such a pleasant surprise.  The hype from the reviews was definitely warranted.  Robbie had the decadent pumpkin pie pancakes.  They tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie, with plenty of pumpkin spice and nutmeg.  There was no artificial taste in these pancakes whatsoever.  A bit indulgent, but if you have a sweet tooth, this is the item for you.  They are also perfectly sized.  Pancakes can be extremely dense and filling, but these were just the right size.  Robbie also added a side of scrapple.  I didn’t try it as I am not a fan of scrapple, but she said it was perfectly crisped on all sides like scrapple should be.

I was torn about what to order, but I ended up deciding on the cheeseburger breakfast burrito.  This burrito was packed with hamburger meat, onion, American cheese, perfectly crispy hashbrowns, lettuce, and served with a sauce that resembled thousand island.  It was so flavorful and all the ingredients blended together perfectly.  For a few extra dollars, I added home fries on the side.  The side was definitely not home fries, but more of a griddled hashbrown casserole, but I was not complaining as it was also perfectly crispy and salted just right.

Food Bash also has a lunch and dinner menu that we will have to try sometime soon!

Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

Overall, we had a really solid experience at Food Bash.  A few things keep it from getting the full grade of five stars.  First, they have very little online presence, as I could not find a full menu online anywhere.  They do not have a dedicated website.  Next, the building just isn’t sustainable.  It is too small and too boring.  That amazing food deserves a better physical location!  We will 100% be going back to try additional items, and I would encourage anyone who is looking for breakfast in the Winchester area to check out Food Bash!
